Masala Milk

Cold wet rainy nights are great times for family bonding. Over a game of Monopoly a hot cup of sweet milk with nuts is just what adds to the bonhomie. This is a favourite during rainy season and winter nights as well. For the summers the same milk , with lesser dry fruits , is chilled and served. So all in all a drink for all occasions.

2 cups whole cream milk, 2 tblsp of condensed sweetened milk, 2 tsp each of finely chopped pistachios, almonds and cashews. 2 cardamoms crushed, a few strands of saffron, sugar to taste.

Boil the milk, add the sugar ,cardamom and nuts.Add the condensed milk. Lightly heat the saffron , crush and add to the hot milk. Stir and serve.

For the summer days, add a little extra sugar since after chilling the sweet taste tones down.
